Industry campaign attains support from within government.
Stamp it Out, the industry-wide programme aiming to erradicate the risk posed to those in public facing roles has now received a message of support from the Future Roads Minister, Rt Hon. Lilian Greenwood MP.
In a` letter adressed to Kevin Robinson, Founder of Stamp it Out and Adrian Tatum, the programme's communications director, Ms. Greenwood states that her department sully supports many of the initiatives which sit within Stamp it Out.
The news comes just days after Prime Minister Sir Kier Starmer took to social media platform 'X' to roundly condemn the actions which led to the fatality of a railways operative, Jorge Ortega, calling his death "absolutely tragic news" and added "nobody should have to face any violence at work - and certainly not something as shocking as this".
As part of the letter Ms. Greenwood also agrees, diaries permitting, to speak at the annual Stamp it Out summit, taking place on 11th March 2025, at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.
