Stamp it Out campaign featured on ITV Central 6.00 news.
Think Respect, the Stamp it Out led public campaign which aims to highlight the issues around the abuse of those who work on the public highway last night featured on ITV's Central News.
In an interview with Charlotte Cross, Traffic Officers Sian Plant and Lee Henderson spoke about their own experiences.
In the interview, Sian spoke of one incident which happened after she and a colleague had put into place a closure after an incident.
"A driver tried to get me by moving out of the way by driving his car at me b before getting out and (getting) into my face and shouting at me.
Across the UK the Think Respect campaign found that in 2023 there were in excess of 2,000 cases of abuse, a 53% increase on the previous year.
